Extraordinary Gathering at Edinburgh College of Arts

Here is my six week long chair created for a typography project the idea behind it was to feel the music sit and just breathe and unwind. Crochet for me is a form off stress relief a coping mechanism so i turned it into this you can see the finished result which was encouraged by my tutors again very hands on and i done it straight to the chair so you get a proper fit. It was all worth the while as after a great grade I was given the chance to show it at the exhibition where i got to meet Joyce Laing the keynote speaker the festival had a lot to do with the understanding off mental health and creativity not just writing someone of give them paint a pen or wool etc watch them create this all really resonated with myself to which i have grown stronger as a person and doing a workshop on this day showing people how to crochet and passing on a new technique was amazing i felt i achieved so much that day . This is just the begining there may be more to come watch this space punk does crochet.
